Let’s face it. There are plenty of other offers out there that are bombarded at you. So you don’t trust too many of those ‘specials’, correct?

RCI Changed Promotional Strategy
The problem is that some cruise lines changed their sales strategy dramatically. Instead of waiting for the ‘wave’ season just after the Christmas holidays they now have a more proactive approach.
Royal Caribbean International made a very interesting move. They are offering a great promotion with either the ‘kids sail free’ or 50% off for the second guest for 6 weeks (it ends on September 15, 2014.) On top of that they offer short term (only 5 days) specials.
Prognosis for the Summer 2015
This makes future cruisers act quickly and jump on what inventory is left. Guess what happens after the promotions are gone? Prices will climb because of the number of desired staterooms is limited and there are still plenty of people who are willing to pay no matter what.
Next summer season on the Caribbean market, it will be difficult for people who prefer the Oasis class ships. Allure of the Seas will be in Europe for the summer, so demand for Oasis of the Seas will be outstanding. We now have difficulties in finding the right staterooms for Allure of the Seas in Mediterranean already. Most popular family staterooms and suites are already sold out (one year in advance!)
