The extra living space and perks of a Grand Suite with a Balcony are a nice to have benefit, that provide for a much more enjoyable experience while in your suite. Between the extra storage space, larger balcony and bathroom upgrades, many guests easily can see and appreciate the extras.

The determining factor to if a Grand Suite with a Balcony is worth the price depends on the price difference between it and Junior Suite.

If you received an offer to upgrade to Grand Suite that cost a fraction of the original price, take it.

"Don’t be confused with word ‘Grand’ – it is a beginning suite with rich amenities/perks under Royal Suite Class Program.

While on competition cruise lines Grand Suites are the biggest and the best suites on the ship, this is the smallest and least impressive suite category on Symphony of the Seas, Harmony of the Seas, Allure of the Seas, and Oasis of the Seas.

Are Grand Suites with a Balcony worth it? – Absolutely! If you wish to be pampered with experience suite life on a limited budget– this is a way to go.

Keep in mind that Royal Caribbean International has a new bidding system on unsold suites. You may be offered a Grand Suite for a reduced price. I recommend you work with me as I am a well-known cruise expert worldwide in the rank of Elite Cruise Counselor and Luxury Cruise Specialist from Cruise Line International Association (CLIA).

Helpful Tips and Reminders

When booking a Grand Suite with a Balcony aboard Symphony of the Seas, Harmony of the Seas, Allure of the Seas, and Oasis of the Seas, location is a key.

The suites close to the elevator, though convenient, may experience higher levels of traffic noise.

Similarly, on some ships a few of these suites are located below the Windjammer Marketplace. These locations can increase the amount of noise heard from inside the Grand Suite with a Balcony. The same can be said about suites located below the pool deck.

Sometimes the outside view is more important than the inside of the suite. Those who want a little extra outdoor living space will want to book an Owners Suite with a Balcony instead of a Grand Suite with a Balcony.
