Allure of the Seas: Are You Cruising With Kids?
“Are you sure that we will be denied from boarding the Allure of the Seas?” – “Yes, sir!”
“But I paid deposit already!” – “I am very sorry to inform you but somebody who did booking Allure of the Seas for you made a mistake.”
“I did by myself on XXXXX.com.” – “Unfortunately, you did not know Royal Caribbean’s regulations regarding separate cabin for kids. It can’t be under the angle to the parents’ stateroom. No exceptions. In situations like this people are denied from boarding Allure of the Seas. Because this happened in 100% penalty zone, you can lose all your money except taxes. ”
“So, what your suggestion will be?” – “From legal point of view, I can’t give you any recommendation if you book with another agent.”
“But I book on the Internet on XXXXX.com.” – “XXXXX.com is your booking agent. You have 2 choices if you want to fix this situation: either transfer your reservation to me (if you book during last 60 days) or cancel your reservation with XXXXX.com, return your deposit and start with me from scratch!”
End of this story: client cancelled reservation with XXXXX.com and I rebook him to Family Oceanview Cabin with Balcony. What? Some people may be didn’t hear about this type of cabins. Those cabins are designed especially for family with kids. This is like one bedroom apartment on the Allure of the Seas.
Family staterooms on Allure of the Seas maybe inside (without window), oceanview (with window), oceanview with balcony. Highest end of family staterooms are Royal Family Suite and Presidential Suite.
Warning: ALL family staterooms are available through travel professionals only, you can’t book them online.
Number of family staterooms on Allure of the Seas is limited:
- Family interior stateroom – 4
- Family ocean stateroom – 8
- Family ocean view stateroom with balcony – 7
- Royal Family suite with balcony – 4
- Presidential suite with balcony – 1
As you see, this is a really small number compare to regular cabins. Guess what? They are first to go!

What to do if you have youngsters in your family and total number of travelers exceed 4? Start early! Put 100% refundable deposit and take a room – you have a plenty time to think about your vacation. You can cancel at any time without penalty from my side because I understand that we have different situations in our life when cruise even on Allure of the Seas is not our first priority.
